In 2023, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit released Weathervanes, their newest studio album. This illustration borrows influence from the American Traditional style of tattooing, and is based off a lyric from the song, Strawberry Woman;

“He’s got square toed boots so he ain’t for real, wouldn’t last five minutes on a pedal steel.”
